Butler Park
The North Port City Commission broke ground on a $12 million North Port Aquatic Center on June 30, 2018. The state-of-the art aquatics complex is located across from the Morgan Family Community Center in the 12.5-acre Butler Park. It takes more than a million gallons of water to fill all the aquatic center’s water features.
The first thing you notice as you approach the North Port Aquatic Center is the 70-foot tower that serves as the starting point for two flume rides. One slide is open, starts two flights up and features a curly Q route into a destination pool. The second is a closed flume that starts two flights higher, begins with a dead drop then curls around before the finish.
