Houston/Sworn Aquatic Center

The City of Pompano Beach was so pleased with the Pompano Beach Aquatic Center’s Myrtha Pool system, they decided to put one in their next aquatic facility: Houston/Sworn Aquatic Center.

The recipient of a Broward County Swim Central Grant, the Houston/Sworn Aquatic Center has something for all the swimmers in the county. There’s a competition pool, dive well and learn-to-swim pool all in one multipurpose body of water, allowing for better programming in a much smaller footprint. The pool contains a 25-yard, nine-lane short course high school competition pool, two 1-meter diving boards and a 13-and-a-half-foot water depth, which makes it excellent as a training competition dive pool.

The pool’s extended length of 112 feet accommodates a 3-feet deep custom-designed learn-to-swim pool measuring 30-feet x 75-feet. Also built in are a tile bench and an oversized step for easy access.

The pool is designed for multiple programs: short-course competition (25-yard), 1-meter springboard competition diving, learn-to-swim classes, leisure swim time, water polo, synchronized swim and SCUBA diving certification classes.

The pools filtration and treatment systems are state-of-the-art and fully automated.
