Project 1100 Biscayne Blvd. The Repositioning of the Melia Hotel

Melia Hotels International, one of the world’s largest resort hotel chains, opened their latest major launch –– ME Miami. The ME by Melia brand’s first property in the United States opened in summer 2016.

RDC was contracted to co-develop the new ME Miami, located at 1100 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, Fla. RDC’s role as the co-developer and design/builder provided the ownership group with a single source project delivery method, allowing the owners to focus on their core business and strengths, while relying on RDC to deliver their vision. The scope of the ME Miami Hotel project included increasing the existing 56-room Casa Moderna Hotel into the 129-room ME Miami Hotel and the first-ever STK Rebel restaurant.

The project included renovations of the pool and deck area located on the 14th floor of the hotel.
