North Community Park

At 38 acres, North Community Park has all the amenities you’d expect to find in the City of Coral Springs’ largest park. The project included four regulation-size baseball fields, two Olympic-size soccer/ football fields, 1.75-mile jogging/rollerblade trail, a two-story community building, restroom facilities strategically located for easy access, two tennis courts, two basketball courts, picnic shelter, playground and preserved environmental area.

Using the latest laser-grading technology, RDC cut and balanced the site to accommodate proper drainage for ball field specifications to include “dry” play one hour after a heavy downpour. By installing high-mast sports lights and energy-saving ballasts lamps, RDC was able to reduce the City’s operating costs and create a non-glare environment that doesn’t disturb nearby neighborhoods. Constructing the buildings using engineered masonry instead of standard tie columns and beams resulted in considerable savings of time and money.

Despite 37 rain delays and additional work requested, the park was completed 21 days ahead of schedule.
