Ocean Terrace Streetscape

A Landmark Oceanfront Transformation

The Ocean Terrace Streetscape is a signature public realm project that reimagines the northern Miami Beach shoreline through a thoughtful blend of landscape architecture, public art, and coastal infrastructure. Delivered through a public–private partnership between the City of Miami Beach and Ocean Terrace Holdings, Inc., the project transforms several acres of former roadway and surface parking into a vibrant oceanfront park and pedestrian destination.

Recreational Design & Construction served as the General Contractor under a design-build delivery method, collaborating closely with the design team to execute a cohesive vision that enhances connectivity, elevates the public experience, and reinforces the character of Miami Beach’s iconic waterfront.

Design and Amenities

The project introduces a new connecting segment of the oceanfront Beachwalk, strengthening pedestrian access along the coastline while framing uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean. Elevated lawn areas provide open, flexible gathering spaces, while curated landscaping and irrigation systems create a lush, resort-quality environment.

Three custom-designed fountains anchor the park, including a one-of-a-kind sculptural water feature that integrates seating and serves as a focal point for visitors. Additional improvements include a new pavilion, refined circulation, and a redesigned beach drop-off and roadway serving the adjacent condominium.
