RDC was selected as the specialty pool contractor for The Villages Charter High School’s world-class swimming facility, collaborating with Wharton-Smith as the Construction Manager. This is no ordinary high school pool—designed for the Swimming World Championship in Asia, the Myrtha pool is built to Olympic standards and has been certified to hold world-record swimming times.

Key features of the pool include:

  • Myrtha 52-meter stainless steel pool
  • Four springboards, offering versatility for both competitive and recreational use.
  • Movable bulkhead, allowing for flexibility in pool configuration for different events.
  • Two fixed head walls, designed to meet precise international competition standards.
  • Myrtha Competition wall inlets, ensuring the highest standards for competitive swimming.
  • Salt/Chlorine generator for efficient water sanitation.
  • Heater and chiller system, maintaining optimal water temperatures year-round for both training and competition.

 

RDC’s role as the specialty pool contractor was critical in the meticulous construction and installation of this advanced system. This facility not only enhances The Villages Charter School’s athletic programs but also serves as a premier venue for swimmers of all levels, providing a world-class environment for competition and training.
